Our 4 year old doesn\’t think it\’s so bad, either.

We\’re huge Schleich fans at our house. With our three boys, toys need to be pretty hearty to last, and dinosaurs… well they need to be almost invulnerable to anything. (Today our 2-year-old bit the head off a cheaper rubber dinosaur. Yes, it\’s crazy here.)

This thing is huge, so cool to see it tower over the other animals and dinos they play with. I love the attention to scale and detail in the toy. Let\’s face it, the wonder of dinosaurs to children is based heavily on how terrifyingly massive they were. This bad boy is great. A favorite.

Buy the way, it even defeats Spiderman every time at our house. That\’s some serious deference in our abode, let me tell you.

The catch… remember, this toy is big and heavy. If you\’re the type that\’s gonna worry endlessly about their precious little one dropping it on their toes or using it as a weapon against a little sister, it could do some damage. But so can a baseball, so what the hell.

Got this dinosaur for my dinosaur-obsessed 4-year old and he is over the moon! Carries it everywhere, talks to it, has it sleep by his bed. It\’s his new pet! The detail is amazing — texture of skin, all the folds and wrinkles. It is very heavy, which is a really cool thing and makes it different from an ordinary plastic dinosaur, but it also makes me a little nervous that he\’s going to drop it and smash his toes. Overall, we\’re very happy with the purchase and this guy will be with us forever — it will look cool on a bookshelf when he\’s older.
